Obituary

Vester L "Ves" Owens, age 69, of 3380 Highway 41 South, Elko, died Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at his residence.

Born in Macon, he was the son of the late Harold Owens and Wylene Collins Owens.  He worked in maintenance for Southern Harvest.  Ves loved people, had a big heart and would help anybody.  He especially loved his family.  His favorite thing to do was supporting his favorite team, the Georgia Bulldogs.

Survivors include:
Daughter:  Kasi Laine Jackson (James) of Panama City, FL

Sister:  Elaine Borders of Americus

Brother:  Joe Owens (Wanda) of Vienna

Several niece and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Trella O. Ethridge.

Graveside services will be held at 3 pm Saturday, April 29 in Walnut Cemetery with Rev. Tony Crosby officiating.

The family will greet friends 1 - 3 pm Saturday, April 29 at the funeral home.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Flint Humane Society, PO Box 308, Vienna, GA 31092.
