Ruby Lee (Williams) Coppedge

Ruby Lee Coppedge, age 91, of 735 Coppedge Road , Vienna, died Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Crisp Regional Hospital.

Born in Unadilla, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. Williams and Bessie Mae Taylor Williams.  She was retired after 25 years with the Middle Flint Behavioral Healthcare Center.  She enjoyed working with her clients and especially making bows and crafts for the Lighted Lantern.  Ruby was a member of the Vienna United Methodist Church where she taught Kindergarten Sunday School for many many years.  She was also a member of  the Dooly Home and Arts Club and the Methodist Guild.  Ruby was an avid gardener and loved making things grow.  She loved to sew but most especially she enjoyed the time she spent with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bobby Bowen and L.H. Coppedge, Jr., and her daughter Katherine B. Garwood.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Beth Ward of Cordele and Amy Rehberg of Coolidge; 6 grandchildren, Britt Garwood (Julie), Megan Garwood, Luke Garwood (Mallory), Jared Walls (Stephanie), Justin Rehberg and Abigail Rehberg; 7 great grandchildren, Kody Garwood, Kendal Garwood, Emmy Garwood, Josie Garwood, Lilliann Garwood, Brynlee Walls and Bailey Walls.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday December 26 at the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna with interment in Lane Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 1 – 3 pm, Monday December 26 at the funeral home and may be contacted at the residence, 735 Coppedge Road, Vienna.
