Robert "Bob" Clayton Burnam, of Macon, GA, born in Dooly County on September 10, 1932, to the late Nancy Cleo Burnam and the late Charles Lewis Burnam, Sr. has passed away on August 10, 2018 in Macon.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Patricia Cown Burnam.
Bob was a Veteran of the Korean War. He worked for the Macon Plant Office of Procter and Gamble as the Plant Office and Packing Department manager until his retirement in 1995. He was the treasurer of the Macon Plant Credit Union from the mid 1950's until his retirement.
Bob is preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Baggett Burnam, his stepson, Michael Allan Maddox, his brothers, Charles Lewis Burnam, Jr. and Ralph Rhoades Burnam and his sisters, Ruby Lois Burnam and Mattie Lou Burnam Welch. Bob is survived by his son, Robert Scott Burnam; daughter, Venita Burnam Roberts; stepson, Spencer Fleetwood Maddox III; stepdaughter, Amy Maddox Bean; grandchildren, Jordan Burnam, Cody Roberts, Marion Roberts, Kristin Long, Jessica Williams, Rebecca Minarovich, Rachel Harlow, Sarah Bean, Hunter Bean, Austin Bean, Taylor Maddox, Reeves Maddox, Austin Maddox, and Macy Davis; great-grandchildren, Camden Sorensen, Adele Sorensen, Ella Long, Paxton Davis, Knox Davis, and Piper Minarovich; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was a Deacon of Wesleyan Drive Baptist Church, a Master Mason at Rutland Lodge #298 for more than 50 years and 24-year member of The Gideons International Bibb Central Camp.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, August 18 in Swearingen Cemetery near Byromville.
