O. T. Spradley, Jr. Obituary
Ossie T. Spradley, Jr., age 92, of 3505 Pinehurst-Hawkinsville Highway, Pinehurst, died Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at High Cotton Home in Vienna.
Born in Pinehurst, he was the son of the late O. T. Spradley and Mary Kenneth Watson Spradley. Mr. Spradley served in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Shadwell. He was a farmer for many years and was also a member of the Georgia Cattlemen's Association and the National Cattlemen's Association. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and Millwood Masonic Lodge # 198. A skilled craftsman, he spent many hours in his woodworking shop and shared much of his work with family and friends.
Survivors include:
Wife: Frances K. Spradley of Pinehurst
Daughter: Mary Catherine Moore (Jim) of Battle Ground, WA
Sister: Lena Daniel of Trion
Grandson: Ian Moore of San Diego, CA
He will also be missed by his faithful companions, his dogs, Roy and Flossie.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Friday, June 21 in Harmony Baptist Church. A private graveside service for family only will be held in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
