Mishie Lynne (Barr) Laneman

On Sunday, January 17, 2021 Mishie Lynne Laneman, loving daughter, sister and mother of four children, passed away in South Bend, Indiana, at age 46.  Mishie was born on April 28, 1974 in Saint Charles, MO to Paul and Linda (Miller) Barr. She received her Masters in Social Work from Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, MO in 2000.

Mishie was a clinical social worker and therapist, most recently working with survivors of trauma and addiction in the South Bend, IN area. She hoped to one day work with veterans with PTSD. She had a passion for painting and writing, loved animals, being outdoors and sunshine. Mishie was kind, generous, and had a beautiful soul. She was beloved by all those who knew her, and was known for her genuine heart and infectious laugh. Above all, she lived for and loved her children, and wished she had more time with them. Mishie had a bold and courageous spirit. She persevered when life was difficult, and always sought to see the good in people. She loved silly movies, poetry, and playing practical jokes. She was known for her quick wit, gorgeous smile, and compassion for others.

Mishie is survived by her four children, Nathan, Margaret, Matthew, and Nolan. Her father Paul III, and mother Linda, brother Paul IV, sister Kerra, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 23 at Lane Cemetery near Vienna.
