Mary Arflin

Mary Arflin, age 85, of 4360 Highway 230 East, Unadilla, died Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at her residence.

Born in Unadilla, she was the daughter of the late Willie Van "Pop" Ransom and Thelma Brannen Ransom.  Mary was a true Christian woman with a servant's heart.  During the many years she was a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla, she served as church pianist for over 60 years and also worked in the nursery for many years.  She was also a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker.  She will especially be remembered by her family for her cooking.  Every Sunday, she prepared a large meal for anywhere from 25 to 30 family members and there was always plenty for everyone.

Alan Arflin (Pam) of Unadilla
Steve Arflin (Carol) of Unadilla

Daughter:  Amy Parham (Vaden) of Locust Grove

Grandchildren:  8

Great Grandchildren:  10

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 24 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla.  Rev. Jerry Pickard and Rev. Charlie Miller will officiate and interment will follow in Walnut Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 5 - 7 PM Thursday, February 23 at the funeral home.
