Lavelle G. Ferguson, age 91, of 340 Third Avenue, Rochelle, died Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Summerhill Nursing Center in Perry.
Born in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Rosa Lee Gay. Mrs. Ferguson retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural letter carrier. She was very active in her church, First Baptist Church of Rochelle. She taught Sunday School, GA's, sang in the choir and was a member of the WMU. An avid golfer, she continued playing until she was 85. One of her favorite places to go was the Rochelle Senior Center to visit with her friends. She also enjoyed spending time at her home on Lake Blackshear.

Great Great Grandchild: Presley Harrell
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Marvin Ferguson.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Wednesday, November 27 in First Baptist Church of Rochelle with interment in Morningside Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the church 1:30 - 2:30 PM Wednesday, November 27.
