Lavada R. Helton

Lavada R. Helton, age 85. of 1453 Arena Road, Unadilla, died Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Perry Hospital.

Born in Dalton, she was the daughter of the late Boyd B. Rogers and Edith Marie Locke Rogers.  She worked at Bryant's Greenhouses for 30 years before retiring.  She enjoyed quilting, crossword puzzle books, growing flowers and listening to gospel music.  

Mrs. Helton was known as "Granny" to many because she mentored so many young people working on the farm.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, September 9 in Walnut Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 pm Wednesday, September 8 at the funeral home.
