Julia Queen "Judy" Overby, age 88, joined her savior on Monday, April 5, 2021.
She was born in Albany, Georgia on September 27, 1932 to Felton Irvin. In 1978, Judy studied The Medical Aspects of Recovery from Alcohol Addiction at UCLA. Upon her return to Georgia in 1980, she took her state exam and became a licensed counselor with the State of Georgia and later, in Florida, working in treatment centers and with the United States Navy. She was an active member in Alcoholics Anonymous, her sobriety dating from February 9, 1978. Judy was a dedicated member of God's Church and was baptized on February 28, 1976.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tracy Padgett; her brothers, Ozzie Baswell, Mac Irvin and Bobby Irvin; her granddaughter, Shannon Davidson
A celebration of Judy's life will take place at 2 PM Saturday, April 24 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home.
