James T. "Hoss" Johnson, age 81, of 421 Pinecrest Drive, Vienna, died Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Summerhill Nursing Home in Perry.
Born in Montezuma, he was the son of the late James "Pint" Johnson and Lillian Wilkes Johnson. He was a farmer and drove a truck for B & P Fertilizer in Byromville. Hoss was a member of Tippettville Baptist Church and was the first person baptized on the church grounds. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. To symbolize his love for his family, there will be one red rose in the casket blanket for Geneva, a yellow rose for each of his three daughters and a fuji mum for each of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his spare time, he loved drag racing and gardening.

Chelsea Mitchell of Hawkinsville
Shelby Folds (Colby) of Pineview
Great Grandchildren: Johnathon Rogers, Annabelle Cramer and Paisley Cramer
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Malcolm J. Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Wednesday, September 6 in Tippettville Baptist Church with interment following in Tippettville Cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
