Jack Stephens Obituary

Jack Stephens, age 89, of 407 Oak Avenue, Pinehurst, died Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Arthur J. Stephens and Haddie Aultman Stephens.  He retired from Robins Air Force Base and then worked for the Dooly County Sheriff's Department as a court bailiff.  Jack was a longtime member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church and was also a member of Millwood Masonic Lodge # 198.  He loved fishing and woodworking.

Survivors include:
Daughter:  Linda Cassell (William Jones) of Cornelia

Son:  Tracy Stephens of Pinehurst

Grandchildren:  
Chuck Cassell of Cornelia
Jackie Hood of Cornelia
Casey Cassell of Augusta
Sam Cassell of Redding, CA
Kori Stephens of Perry
Jordan Stephens of Elko

Great Grandchildren:  Jazmin Hood and Eva Owens

He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Swain Stephens and his siblings, James Stephens, Juanita Holton and Harold Stephens.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 14 in Pinehurst United Methodist Church with interment in Pinehurst City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 5 - 7 PM Friday, March 13 at the funeral home.
