Gladys A. Johnson, age 93, of 22185 South Oaks Road, Byromville, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at The Oaks Nursing Home in Marshallville.
Born in Vienna, she was the daughter of the late William C. Anderson and May Ola Jones Anderson. She had worked at Forest Mills in Montezuma and as bookkeeper at Kitchens Pharmacy in Byromville. She was also a partner in P & J Salvage in Byromville. Gladys was a dedicated member of Byromville Baptist Church and was also a member of the Seasoned Saints. At the time of her death, she was the oldest member of the church. Even though she held jobs outside her home, she was a homemaker devoted to her family and will especially be remembered for the cakes she prepared.

She is also survived by her best friend, Martha Peavy of Byromville
Her husband, Jessie Ray "Bud" Johnson and her son, Gene William Johnson preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, June 9 in Byromville Baptist Church with interment in Johnson Cemetery.
The family will greet friends beginning at 9:30 AM Thursday, June 9 in the church fellowship hall.
