Douglas F. "Duck" Thames, age 78, of 308 Highway 26 West, Henderson, died Friday, December 18, 2020, at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins.
Born in Byron, he was the son of the late Walter Morris Thames and Eva Pearl Arnold Thames. Duck was a member of Henderson Baptist Church and a carpenter. He loved NASCAR and had previously worked on the pit crew for Ken Ragan. He enjoyed spending his mornings in Unadilla with the Coffee Club. Duck loved all animals. His daughter, Gwen Thames Shafer, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 11 am Monday, December 21 in Henderson Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Everyone is encouraged to wear face masks and socially distance.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
