Charles Orr

Charles Orr, age 85, of 1307 Blackshear Road, Cordele, died Monday, February 8, 2021, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

Born in Trion, Georgia, he was the son of the late Raymond Orr and Gertrude Yates Orr.  Mr. Orr retired from Peachtree Windows and Doors where he served as the credit manager.  He leaves many friends in various places such as Blairsville and Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he lived for 10 years prior to moving to Cordele a year ago to be near his daughter.  He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Chattanooga.

Daughter:  Allison Bowen (Rooney, III) of Vienna

Brothers:
Jimmy Orr (Pluma) of Summerville
Raymond Orr (Linda) of Summerville

Aunt:  Doris Yates of Douglasville

Sister-in-law: Shirley Christopher (Steve) of The Villages, FL

Grandchildren:
Neeley Harmon (Kelly) of Rutledge
Haydon Davis of Corvallis, MT
Chandler Bowen of Cordele

Great Grandchildren:
Paisley Harmon
Anney Harmon
Emmey Harmon

He is also survived by his faithful companions, his dog, Bella and his cat, Zoe.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Beverly Thompson Orr.
