I wish to offer my condolences to Wayne, Rodney and the Nelson family. 93 years is quite an accomplishment according to the Bible (Psalm 90:10) and I know Mr. Lum has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. Hopefully this scripture will give you comfort because our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18) is promising us he will do away with man's worst enemy, death. This is found for us at Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matthew 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. John 6: 40 tells us: "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day." Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago. Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it."
This is a wonderful promise made to us by our heavenly father and I pray it brings you comfort and hope. Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Psalm 34:18 Again, I offer my sincere condolences to the family. I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death is a terrible tragedy to suffer. Your loved one lived what many consider to be a long life. However, to God, it was not long enough. God purposed for humans to live forever, so no one would have to experience the grief that death brings (Romans 6:23). God will act soon to put an end to the last enemy, death (1 Corinthians 15:26). I hope you found comfort in these words.
Kindest regards,
Dru

What a awesome man is now in the arms of Jesus. Out of many residents I served Mr. Lum was so precious and always one of my favorites. He never complained and he loved his family and friends. I know y'all will miss him but praise God he is running the streets of glory with his new healed body. Love, Ann Culpepper Clark, High Cotton Homes, LLC Vienna

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Lum passing. He was such a nice man. I used to see him from time to time at the Manor. My fondest memory of Mr. Lum though was when I used to pass by his place and he would be out in his garden working. No matter what he was doing he would always stop and wave.

Chopper,
So sorry to learn of your dad's passing. He did enjoy life and racing. I'll always remember him stopping through my Amoco station in Unadilla to get his "racing fuel". We had some memorable conversations during those stops. I know you'll miss him.
