Barbara Ann (Yancey) Draughon

Barbara Ann Yancey Draughon, age 89, of Cumming, Georgia, died May 13, 2021. 

Barbara was born in Americus on September 15, 1931.  She married Alton P. Draughon on June 14, 1953 and was preceded in death by him on March 15, 2006.  Barbara was a resident of The Villas at Canterfield in Cumming and was provided unfailing love, care and support for many years.  In her final days, she was also cared for by Golden Rule Hospice.  

She is survived by her son, A. Porter Draughon, Jr. of Atlanta; her other son, Larry M. Lehman of Atlanta; her beloved companion, Abbey; her grandchildren, Jennifer Draughon Baynes and Alton P. Draughon, III; her great grandchildren, Daniel Baynes, Benjamin Baynes, Kaitlyn Draughon and Lilly Draughon; her nieces, Virginia Durham Bradley, Darrellyn Durham Rozsypal, Juanita Durham Brown and Mary Durham Binns; her nephews, Darrell Durham and Joseph Durham, Sr.; her cousin, Dorothy McMichael, who were a constant source of love and support throughout her life; her nieces and nephews, Emily Yancey Campbell, Jimmy Yancey, Jane Yancey Horsting, Sue Yancey Humphreys, Judy Yancey Bradshaw, Kay Yancey Whitley and Mike Yancey, who were also a source of love and very special to her.

A memorial service will be held at 12 PM Saturday, July 10 in Vienna City Cemetery with Rev. Tavye Morgan Triemer officiating.
