Wm. Bruce Poole, Sr
December 8, 1916 — June 3, 2004
William Bruce Poole, Sr., age 87, of Unadilla, died Thursday, June 3, 2004, in Pinehill Nursing Center in Byromville.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 6 in Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla. Rev. Ernest Bass will officiate and military honors will be provided by the US Army Honor Guard.
Mr. Poole was a native of Dooly County, the son of the late Ira Gilbert Poole and Stella Connell Poole, a member of Unadilla United Methodist Church and the DAV. During WWII, he served in the 509th Parachute Infantry Brigade, which was the first of its kind.

Wife: Betty Poole of Unadilla
Daughter: Brenda Bryant of Unadilla
Sons: Wm. Bruce Poole, Jr. of Birmingham, AL
Jeffrey Poole of Unadilla
Sister: Janie Bray of Macon
Grandchildren: 10
Great Grandchildren: 7
The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6 - 8 PM Saturday, June 5.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unadilla UMC, PO Box 328 Unadilla, GA 31091.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
