Willie Joe Goodroe

Willie Joe Goodroe, age 69, of Unadilla, died Wednesday, July 27, 2005, in a Macon hospital.
Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late James Butler Goodroe and Louise Peavy Goodroe. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla, the Charles Speight Sunday School Class, the Unadilla Lions Club and the Coffee Club. He worked at Robins Air Force Base as a Sheet Metal Supervisor.
Survivors include:
Daughter: Faye Mixon (Myron) of Unadilla
Brothers: Roy Goodroe (Marilyn) of Hawkinsville
Hinton Goodroe (Nancy) of Unadilla
John Robert Goodroe (Debra) of Unadilla
Grandchildren: Kylie Jones of Unadilla
Cory Jones of Unadilla
Companion: Betty Higgs of Unadilla
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 30 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla. Rev. Tommy Daniels and Dr. Bob Murphy will officiate and interment will follow in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 7 - 9 PM Friday, July 29 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, c/o Betty Warbington 3200 Tippettville Road, Vienna, GA 31092.
