Wendell Peavy

Wendell Peavy, age 83, of 427 Third Street, Unadilla, died Saturday, April 24, 2004, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, Georgia.
Born in Pinehurst, he was the son of the late Carl R. Peavy and Vista Jones Peavy. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla, retired from Georgia Pacific where he was a Lab Technician and was a former co-owner of C & W Thrift Store in Unadilla. Mr. Peavy served his country proudly and honorably as a member of the US Army Air Corps during WWII.

Wife: Valmai Peavy of Unadilla
Daughter: Marlene Hiland (Jim) of Unadilla
Sons: Leonard Peavy of Unadilla
Bobby Peavy (Deborah) of Warner Robins
Sister: Harriet Davis (Calvin) of Bonaire
Grandchildren: 5
Great Grandchildren: 4
His sister, Odine Fraser and his granddaughter, Erin Peavy preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, April 27 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla. Dr. Bob Murphy will officiate and burial will follow in Walnut Cemetery with military honors.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 26 from 7 - 9 PM.
