Wendell Collins

Wendell Collins, of Unadilla, died Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.

Born in Unadilla, he was the son of the late W. W. "Bill" Collins and Margaret Elizabeth Oliver Collins. He was a member of Unadilla United Methodist Church, where he had served as a Steward, Sunday School Superintendent, Lay Leader and was a member of the Good Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was a retired insurance salesman and had served as a Unadilla City Councilman. Mr. Collins was also a member of the Perry Jaycees and a Mason in the Millwood Masonic Lodge. His greatest joy was a being a grandfather to his three grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Christine Goodson Collins of Unadilla.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 15 in Unadilla United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Walnut Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 7 - 9 PM Monday, March 14 at the funeral home.
