Wanda Smith Dunaway, age 59, of 648 Horne Street, Pinehurst, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at her residence.
Wanda was born in Vienna, graduated from Vienna High School in 1967 and earned her Associate Degree from Georgia Southwestern. She began working in the Medical Records Department at Dooly Medical Center and then served as secretary for the Laurens County Commissioners. She had also worked at Middle Georgia EMC and was currently a Bank Teller at RBC Centura. Wanda was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and the Middle Adult Sunday School Class.

Son: Dave Morgan (Kay) of Marietta
Mother: Bernice W. Smith of Pinehurst
Sister: Phyllis Roney of Vienna
Brothers: Wayne Smith of Pinehurst
Rene Smith of Cobb
Grandchildren: Elise Brubaker, Claire Morgan and Philip Morgan.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Dewey Smith and Phillip Smith and her father, Dilbon Smith.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 5 in Harmony Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Pinehurst City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 7 - 9 PM Wednesday, March 4 at the funeral home.
