Virginia J. Smith

Virginia J. Smith, age 89, of Henderson and currently a resident of Summerhill in Perry, died Friday, November 23, 2012, at Perry Hospital.

Born in Hawkinsville, she was the daughter of the late Lattimer Johnson and Pearl Cross Johnson. She retired from Kellwood where she was an inspector and was a member of Henderson Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is also survived by several great grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson M. Smith and her daughter, Bonnie Land.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM Sunday, November 25 in Henderson Baptist Church with interment in Coody-Berryhill Cemetery in Cochran.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
