Tyler R. Ingram

March 23, 1924 — January 7, 2003

Tyler R. Ingram, age 78, of 312 Andrews Street, Vienna, died Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

Born in Crisp County, he was the son of the late Reuben W. Ingram and Ruby Nell Smith Ingram. He served as a Military Policeman in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Ingram was a farmer and was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Vienna, a Deacon, a member of the Caleb Sunday School Class, a Mason and a member of American Legion Post 202.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jewell S. Ingram of Vienna, one daughter, Linda Neighbors(Buddy) of Vienna, two brothers, Joe Ingram(Dorothy) of Cordele and Harry Minshew(Connie) of Cordele, two sisters, Nell Westerbeck(Mark) of Gainsville and Janice Powell(Mike) of Vienna, three grandchildren, Nancy Hall(Steve) of Vienna, Casey Godfrey of Pinehurst and Holly Godfrey of Pinehurst.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, January 9 at First Baptist Church of Vienna. Rev. Jamey Hunt and Dr. J. W. Wallis will officiate and pallbearers will be Neil Joiner, Lee Kinard, Shannon Akin, Steve Morgan, Charles Cobb and Ronald Royal. The members of the Caleb Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

The family will recieve friends from 6:30 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 8 at Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Vienna, PO Box 351, Vienna, Georgia 31092.

Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
