James Tippett Peavy, age 62, of 4900 Highway 27, Vienna, died Sunday, January 25, 2004, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
Born in Hawkinsville, he was the son of the late James W. Peavy, a member of Smyrna Baptist Church, the Mens Sunday School Class, a farmer a Trustee of Lane Cemetery and served in the National Guard.

Son: Joe Peavy of Blackshear
Daughter: Tiffany Jean Peavy of West Palm Beach, FL
Mother: Eleanor Peavy of Vienna
Brother: Zeke Peavy of Vienna
Sisters: Sue Powell of Dublin
Patricia Shuman of Columbus
Grandchildren: 2
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 27 in Smyrna Baptist Church. Rev. Danny Courson and Rev. Wyndell Hamrick will officiate and burial will follow in Lane Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 6 - 8 PM Monday, January 26 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lane Cemetery, PO Box 382 Vienna, Georgia 31092.
