Thomas R. Kent

Thomas R. Kent, age 78, of 1070 Kent Smith Road, Pinehurst, died Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Born in Dublin, he was the son of the late Frank Lee Kent and Willa Dixon Kent. He was a US Army veteran, a member of Northern Heights Baptist Church in Cordele and retired from Robins Air Force Base as an Electronic Technician.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Kent and a great granddaughter, Nichole Kent.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM Friday, September 30 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna with interment in Forehand Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Thursday, September 29 at the funeral home.

Memorial gifts may be made to Northern Heights Baptist Church, 1102 East 8th Avenue, Cordele, GA 31015.
