Thelma R. Layfield, age 67, of Dublin, died Monday, September 24, 2007, in a Dublin hospital.
Born in Hawkinsville, she was the daughter of the late Elmus Shelton and Jessica Bray Shelton. She was a homemaker and had worked as a waitress. Her husband, Willie Ned Layfield, preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 27 in Harmony-Smyrna Cemetery near Unadilla.
The family will greet friends from 7 - 9 PM Wednesday, September 26 at the funeral home or may be contacted at 308 Wooten Street, Vienna.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
