Talmadge Dupree

Talmadge Dupree, age 85, of 600 Horne Street, Pinehurst, died Thursday, October 3, 2019.

Born in Pinehurst, he was the son of the late L. J. Dupree and Lida Davis Dupree.  Talmadge served  his country with honor in the United States Army.  He worked at Robins Air Force Base for over 30 years and then served on the staff of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home for over 20 years.  He was a member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church and served on the board of trustees.  He also served on the Pinehurst City Council for many years.

Survivors include: Son:  Charles Dupree (Sheila) of Vienna

Sister:  Edith Peavy (Virgil) of Unadilla

Grandchildren: Ash Dupree (Jordan) of Woodstock Jessica Pickel (Chris) of St. Louis, MO Shane Odom of Pinehurst Andy Odom of Brookhaven

Great Grandchildren: Alaina Dupree of Woodstock Zach Dupree of Woodstock Lauren Pickel of St. Louis, MO

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene A. Dupree.

Funeral services will be at 11 am Monday, October 7 in Pinehurst United Methodist Church with burial in Pinehurst City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 4 -6 pm Sunday, October 6 and may be contacted at the residence of Charles and Sheila Dupree, 275 Hughes Road, Vienna.
