Steve Rucker

Steve Rucker, age 68, of 222 Cherry Street, Unadilla, died Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at his residence.

Born in Perry, he was the son of the late Andy Rucker and Mary Hamsley Rucker.  Steve was an excellent carpenter and handyman who could build just about anything.  He also had a great love for playing his guitar and writing songs.  Coon hunting was another of his favorite things to do.

He is also survived by his special friends, Shannon Maddox of Unadilla and Beverly Mayberry of Unadilla and a bonus grandchild, Sabrina Donaldson of Unadilla.

A memorial service will be held at 6 pm Thursday, May 28 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Grinsted officiating.
