Shirley S. Ashley, age 85, of 526 North Third Street, Vienna, died Monday, January 20, 2014, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.
Born in Dublin, she was the daughter of the late Hardy Smith and Inez Sessions Smith. She had worked as an insurance clerk for Yates & Associates in Dublin.
Survivors include:
Daughter: Susan Smith (Wayne) of Pinehurst
Brother: Joseph Smith of Dublin
Grandchildren: Joshua Smith and Mary Beth Goodroe
Great Grandchildren: Kaeli Alexis Smith, Landan Riley Smith and Sage Goodroe
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis M. Ashley.
Graveside services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, January 22 in Pinehurst City Cemetery.
