Sally K. Clewis

Sally K. Clewis, age 87, of Unadilla, died Saturday, January 7, 2006, at her daughter's home in Fort Valley.

Born in Bibb County, she was the daughter of the late James Howard King and Florence Sumner King. She was a longtime member of Snow United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 40 years and was instrumental in the restoration of the Snow Cemetery in the 1950's. Mrs. Clewis worked at Robins Air Force Base, enjoyed playing bridge and traveling and was the widow of Dewitt Clewis.

She is survived by her daughter, Carla Hunter and her husband John, of Fort Valley. A granddaughter, Helen Hunter of Fort Valley, also survives as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 9 at Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla. Rev. Tom Teate will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Snow Cemetery Fund, PO Box 510 Unadilla, GA 31091.

Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
