Ruth S. Brown

Ruth S. Brown, age 89, of 512 North Third Street, Vienna, died Wednesday, September 10, 2003, at her residence.<br><br>Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late John B. Sparrow and Frances Williams Sparrow. She graduated from Georgia College of Beauty Culture and owned Ruth's Beauty Shop in Vienna for many years. She was a longtime faithful member of Vienna United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Sunday School Class and was the widow of Lewis R. Brown.<br><br>Survivors include:<br>Daughters: Betty Farmer of Vienna<br>Shirley Carroll of Atlanta<br><br>Grandchildren: 5<br>Great Grandchildren: 5<br><br>Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 11 at Vienna United Methodist Church. Rev. Shane Green will officiate and burial will follow in Vienna City Cemetery.<br><br>The family will greet friends from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vienna UMC, 313 Church Street Vienna, GA 31092.<br><br>Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of<br>Vienna has charge of arrangements.
