Russell C. Pickard

Russell C. Pickard, age 84, of Unadilla, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
Born in Houston County, he was the son of the late Virda A. Pickard and Cluma Cawthon Pickard. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla where he sang in the choir, was a deacon and a member of the Charles Speight Sunday School Class. During WWII, he served in the US Marine Corps in the Pacific Theatre and was a retired farmer.

Son: Dr. Jerry Pickard (Terri) of Milledgeville
Grandchildren: Jared Pickard of Milledgeville
Jana Pickard of Americus
Jeni Pickard of Milledgeville
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, February 23 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla. Rev. Tommy Daniels and Rev. Cham White will officiate and interment will follow in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday, February 22 at the funeral home.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
