Russell C. Pickard

Russell C. Pickard, age 84, of Unadilla, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.<br><br>Born in Houston County, he was the son of the late Virda A. Pickard and Cluma Cawthon Pickard. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla where he sang in the choir, was a deacon and a member of the Charles Speight Sunday School Class. During WWII, he served in the US Marine Corps in the Pacific Theatre and was a retired farmer.<br><br>Survivors include:<br>Eunice Scott Pickard of Unadilla<br><br>Son: Dr. Jerry Pickard (Terri) of Milledgeville<br><br>Grandchildren: Jared Pickard of Milledgeville<br>Jana Pickard of Americus<br>Jeni Pickard of Milledgeville<br><br>Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, February 23 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla. Rev. Tommy Daniels and Rev. Cham White will officiate and interment will follow in Walnut Cemetery.<br><br>The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday, February 22 at the funeral home.<br><br>Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
