Ruby N. Summers

Ruby N. Summers, age 77, of 316 Andrews Street, Vienna, died Monday, January 4, 2009, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Born in Turner County, she was the daughter of William Jesse Nutt and Irene Mattie Britt, a homemaker and a Baptist. Mrs. Summers was a devoted wife and caregiver to her husband, the late Jack Russell Summers, and a loving mother and grandmother.

Her daughter, Deborah Summers, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM Thursday, January 7 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna. Interment will follow in Vienna City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Wednesday, January 6 at the funeral home.
