Ruby H. (Hawkins) Carr

Ruby H. Carr, age 84, of 1500 West Road, Vienna, died Monday, May 1, 2023, at her residence.

Born in Vienna, she was the daughter of the late Otis Hawkins and Rosebud Selph Hawkins.  She retired from Red Kap Industries where she was a seamstress.  Mrs. Carr was  a member of Vienna Church of God.  She had a true Christian heart who cared for others and would take in anyone who needed help.

Survivors include: Daughters: Debra Wilkes (Ronnie) of Vienna Katherine Short of Cordele

Son:  James Crosby (Cindy) of Vienna

Sisters: Joanne Kelly of Vienna Dot Hamsley (Melvin) of Pinehurst Janice Dent of Easley, South Carolina

Brother:  Sonny Hawkins (Reba) of Vienna

Grandchildren:  Brandie Crosby, Jake Wilkes (Danielle), Katie Eubanks (Benton) and Robert Lee Short, Jr.

Great Grandchildren:  3

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Verl Carl and her grandson, John Gordon.

Graveside services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, May 4 in Vienna City Cemetery.
