Robert Smith, age 60, of 1365 Bryant Road, Vienna, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at his residence.
Born in Muscogee County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Luther Smith and Sybil Strickland Smith, was a member of Drayton Baptist Church and a truck driver. He had lived in the Drayton Community for the past 7 months, moving from Sylvester.
Survivors include:
Wife: Victoria Smith of Vienna
Daughter: Cindy Deperro of Dothan, AL
Sons: Robert Dwayne Smith of Dawson
Richard C. Smith of Leesburg
Robert Chalk Smith of Cordele
Tyron Smith of Dawson
Brother: James Smith of Doerun
Grandchildren: 7
Great Grandchildren: 2
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in Drayton Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry Vaughan will officiate and burial will follow in Collier Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 7 - 9 PM Wednesday, April 21 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd. Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852 or to Drayton Baptist Church Medical Fund for Robert Smith, c/o Bank of Dooly, PO Box 365 Vienna, GA 31092.
