Robert N. Flournoy, Sr

Rob Flournoy, age 73, of 601 Third Street, Unadilla, died Thursday, June 22, 2006, at his residence.

Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late J. P. Flournoy and Frances Willard Flournoy. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from Medusa Cement Company. Rob was a longtime member of Unadilla United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir and served on the Board of Trustees and the Administrative Board.

Brothers: Horace Flournoy of Perry
J. T. Flournoy (Linda) of Fort Valley

Sisters: Mary Frances Cromer (James) of Cordele
Judy Faye Smith (Pete) of Leesburg
Annette Wood (Bobby) of Columbus

Grandchildren: Joseph Brett Marshall, Ashley Megan Marshall, Amanda Nichole Ellis and Casey Garrett Rucker

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert N. Flournoy, Jr. and a brother, Vernie Flournoy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 24 in Unadilla United Methodist Church. Rev. Grady Vance will officiate and interment will follow in Elko Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 6 - 7 PM Friday, June 23 at the funeral home.
