Robert Lamar Ambrose, Jr

Robert Lamar Ambrose, Jr., age 62, of Fort Valley, died Friday, September 23, 2011, at Fort Valley Nursing Home.
Lamar was born in Americus, but raised in Vienna. He was a member of Milan Baptist Church and had worked at Food Lion in Eastman. Lamar loved visiting and talking with people and also enjoyed listening to his scanner.
Survivors include:
Mother: Larue Ambrose of Vienna
Sister: Brenda Lockerman (Jimmy) of Byromville
Nephews: Ambrose Lockerman of Byromville
Jeff Lockerman of Byromville
He is also survived by a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lamar Ambrose.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Monday, September 26 in Vienna First Baptist Church with interment in Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele.
The family will greet friends 3 - 5 PM Sunday, September 25 at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may be made to Georgia Baptist Children's Home, 9420 Blackshear Highway, Baxley, Georgia 31513.
