Richard was born on November 1, 1959 in Columbus, Georgia, to Eva Mae Parks Green and the late Curtis R. Green. He graduated from Jordan High School, was a US Marine Corps veteran and was a truck driver.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 12 in Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna. Interment will follow in Vienna City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, August 11 at the funeral home.
