Rebecca A. Butler

Rebecca A. "Becky" Butler, age 75, of 431 North Third Street, Vienna, died Sunday, February 15, 2015, at her residence.

Born in Fort Valley, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Shelby Hughes and Lena Elizabeth Bailey Hughes. Becky was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and had worked as a cashier at Stephens Grocery Store in Vienna. She loved playing basketball in high school and helped Vienna High School win a state championship during the 1957-58 season. She enjoyed cooking and watching sports but her greatest love was spending time with her family.

Great Grandchildren: Courtney Daniel, Braydon Beavers, Breann Beavers and Shi'Anne Thayer

Great Great Grandchild: Braelyn Daniel

She was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Butler and a sister, Alice Lovett.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, February 18 in Vienna Church of God with interment in Vienna City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, February 17 at the funeral home.
