Rebecca S. Brown

Rebecca S. Brown, age 81, of 375 McWhorter Street, Unadilla, died Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

She was born in Mount Hope, Alabama to the late Troy Sinyard and Evie Crumpton Sinyard but lived in Unadilla most of her life.  Her first job was as a field reporter for the Unadilla Observer and later she worked at Mid-Georgia Builders and Sinyard Heating & Air.  She was a longtime member of Unadilla Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Dennis Brown (Donna) of Panama City, FL; her step-son, K. J. Snelgrove, II of Hawkinsville; her brothers, Bobby Sinyard of Unadilla and Jerry Sinyard (Joyce) of Cordele; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde Brown.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, August 5 at Walnut Cemetery.
