Ray Joiner

Ray Joiner, age 81, of 1314 East 8th Avenue Cordele, died Saturday, October 25, 2008, at his residence.
Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late J. V. Joiner and Lillian Noble Joiner, a US Army veteran and a retired farmer. He was member of Harmony Baptist Church but lived in Cordele for the past 15 years and attended Northern Heights Baptist Church.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Frances Worrall, Joyce Wilkes, Sandra Wiley, Mary Jane Peavy, Charlene Hester, Rooney L. Bowen, Jr., Jimmy Joiner, Neil Joiner and Lance Broach.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Monday, October 27 in Harmony Baptist Church with interment in Harmony-Smyrna Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Memorial gifts may be made to United Hospice, 708 E. 16th Avenue, Cordele, GA 31015 or to the donor's favorite charity.
