Ralph Bowen

Ralph Bowen, age 78, of 250 Collins Road, Pinehurst, died Thursday, September 17, 2009, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.
Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Levi and Clara Hutto Bowen. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was also a retired Farmer. Mr. Bowen was a longtime member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He also served on the Dooly County ASC Committee, the Tax Assessors Committee and was a member of the Livestock Association. In later years, Mr. Bowen worked as a Courier for Citizens Bank.

Brother: Alton Bowen of Warner Robins
Grandchildren: Michelle B. Cross (Brian)

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Grady Bowen, Harold Bowen, Mamie Lou Jacobs, Alma Langford, Lila Woodard and Ruth Kohler.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Sunday, September 20 in Pinehurst United Methodist Church with interment in Pinehurst City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 5 - 7 PM Saturday, September 19 at the Cross residence, 5 Boxwood Street, Hawkinsville.
