Pedro Layfield

Willie James "Pedro" Layfield, age 61 of 845 Highway 80 East, East Dublin, Georgia, died Monday, July 5, 2021 at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta.

Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Willie Ned Layfield and Thelma Ruth Shelton Layfield.  Pedro was a master carpenter and an avid hunter and fisherman.  His greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include: Companion:  Wanda Kennedy of East Dublin

Daughters: Tabitha Layfield of Kathleen Valerie Layfield of Perry Amber Jones of Dublin

Son:  Matthew Kennedy of East Dublin

Brother:  Billy Joe Layfield (Trina) of Vienna

Grandchildren:  7

Memorial services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, July 10 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home with Rev. David Jones officiating.
