Patsy Bridges

Patsy Christine Gilbert Bridges, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Unadilla, Georgia, on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Patsy was born in Dublin, Georgia, and spent most of her life in Unadilla. She devoted many years to lovingly raising her daughters at home before beginning her career in the local community. She worked at McMahan Drugs and later at the Clothing Carnival, where she proudly served as floor manager. Patsy truly loved her co-workers and the community she served.

She was a devoted member of Double Branch Free Will Baptist Church. In earlier years, Patsy was actively involved in church life, where she passionately taught Sunday School and served on the bereavement committee. She found great joy and purpose in serving others and offering comfort during difficult times.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Dossett (Terry); grandchildren, Chris Tyndal (Ashley) and Paul Dossett (Callie); and great-grandchildren, McClendon, Henry, Elliott, and Annie. She is also survived by her sister, Clara Stewart, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Perry L. "P. L." Bridges and her daughter, Sherry L. Bridges.

The family will hold a small, private graveside celebration of her life at Walnut Cemetery.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to her loving caregivers, Angela Addison, Marsha Conley, and Whitney Powell; Pruitt Hospice; and her devoted supporters, Mary Shurley and Tammy Kimsey, for their compassion and care.
