Patricia R. (Ransom) Bailey

Patricia Ransom Bailey, age 70, of Unadilla, passed away Sunday May 24, 2020, at Perry Hospital in Perry, Georgia.

Born in Savannah, she was the daughter of the late Jack Van Ransom and Audrey Arnold Ransom.  Patricia was a homemaker and very involved in the everyday life of her son and his family. Her granddaughters, Darrian and Skylar were her pride and joy and Patricia went to great lengths to be their number one fan, attending as many sporting events and cow shows as possible. Patricia led by example.  There was never a job too large or too small she would not tackle. Most recently, she volunteered her time to make masks for healthcare workers.  Patricia was strong, determined, and well known in her community for her devotion to the students throughout her years with The Learning Center at Fullington Academy in Pinehurst, Georgia. The students taken under the wings of “Miss Trish” always received the encouragement they needed to strive for the best and go after their dreams.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard Bailey of Unadilla; her son Van Bailey (Davon) of Kathleen; her brother, Jack Ransom (Jan) of Unadilla; her granddaughters Darrian & Skylar Bailey of Kathleen; her nephews, Joshua Ransom (Erin) of Unadilla and Will Ransom (Amy) of Milner.

Patricia will also greatly be missed by her beloved dog, Tuck.

No services will be held.

The family will have a drive-thru visitation on Tuesday, May 26 from 6 pm to 8 pm at their residence, 11815 Highway 230 West, Unadilla.  Please enter the property from Highway 230 and exit onto Little Creek Road.  Due to the social distancing requirements, please stay in your vehicle.  You will be able to register, receive a memorial folder and speak to the family.
