Pat Joiner

Patrick H. "Pat" Joiner, age 80, of 1070 Highway 90 West, Vienna, died Friday, January 5, 2024, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, he was the son of the late Roy C. Joiner and Ruby Richards Joiner and served his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps.  Following his military service, he earned his Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia.  He worked with Kirby Player and Associates for several years designing golf courses and later was co-owner of Georgia Pacific Pump Company.  Pat was a member of Vienna First Baptist Church and American Legion Post 202.

Survivors include: Daughters: Pam Joiner of Vienna Julie Fisher (Brent) of Dalton

Sister:  Connie Ellis (Bobby) of Vienna

Brother:  Mike Joiner (Janet) of Vienna

Granddaughter:  Hadley Fisher of Dalton

Sisters-in-law: Nancy Joiner of Perry Joyce Joiner of Statesboro

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy H. Joiner and his brothers, Clark Joiner and Johnny Joiner.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Monday, January 8 in Vienna First Baptist Church.  Rev. Brian Leverett and Rev. Matt Stephens will officiate and interment will be in Vienna City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 3 - 5 pm Sunday, January 7 at the funeral home.
