Edward Norman Gilbert, age 69, of 201 Poplar Street, Ideal, died Monday, May 28, 2012, at Flint River Community Hospital in Montezuma.
Norman was born in Montgomery, Alabama but was a resident of Vienna for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. L. Gilbert, Jr. and Lavelle Gilbert Pittard and his step-mother, Lorraine Gilbert. Norman enjoyed country music, eating at Ryan's Steak House, drawing and listening to the radio. He also had a great love of animals, especially dogs. Norman ALWAYS had a smile for you and a great sense of humor. His family has been so blessed to have him in their lives and they will miss his dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, June 2 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna with interment in Vienna City Cemetery.
Visitation will begin 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
