Myrtle L. Mcglamory
January 23, 1931 — October 18, 2006
Myrtle L. McGlamory, age 75, of Cordele, died Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at Crisp Regional Hospital.
Born in Wilcox County, she was the daughter of the late Goodman Hughes Ledford and Dora Fowler Ledford. She was a member of Omar Heights Baptist Church, the Adult Sunday School Class and retired from Dooly Medical Center where she was a LPN. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include:
Husband: Joe Mack McGlamory of Cordele
Daughters: Linda Kitchens(Ronnie) of Lilly
Libby Williams (Tom) of Hartwell
Sons: Johnny Mack McGlamory (Kathy) of Vienna
Robin McGlamory (Edna) of Cordele
Joey McGlamory of Marietta
Brother: Walter Ledford (Colene) of Apopka, FL
Grandchildren: 8
Great Grandchildren: 9
She is also survived by her beloved dog, Cricket.
She was preceded in death by two infant daughters.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, October 20 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna. Interment will follow in Bluff Creek Cemetery in Pulaski County.
The family will greet friends from 1:30 - 2:30 PM Friday, October 20 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Omar Heights Baptist Church, c/o Howard Ergle, 697 Twin Pines Road, Cordele, GA 31015 or the Georgia Baptist Children's Home, 9420 Blackshear Highway, Baxley, GA 31513.
