Myrtice (Wilcox) Layfield

Myrtice M. Layfield, age 88, of 27150 Shadel Road, Menifee, California, died Monday, January 18, 2021, at her residence.

She was born in Georgia to the late Sam and Florence Wilcox and worked as a punch press operator.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Layfield of Menifee, CA.

She was the widow of Dooly County native, James Bishop Layfield.

A private burial will take place at Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla.

Miller-Jones Mortuary of Menifee, California and Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla have charge of arrangements.
