Millard Peavy, age 81 of Pinehurst, died Wednesday, February 16 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.
Born in Pinehurst, he was the son of the late Tillman and Mamie Broadaway Peavy. He was a US Army veteran of WWII, serving from January 1943 through December, 1945. He was assigned to the 630th Tank Destroyer Battalion and served in England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. He was a retired farmer.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 20 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna. Rev. Shane Green will officiate and military honors will be provided by the US Army Honor Guard.
